Dinner fundraiser will allow increased campaign presence
North Sound Bicycle Advocates is hosting its first fundraiser - a dinner with entertainment set for October 24, 2025 at the Lake Ballinger Center in Mountlake Terrace. Bike riders who support North Sound Bikes’ campaign to get a bridge built on the Interurban Trail between Shoreline and Edmonds are encouraged to sign up for tickets.
Long-time public radio commentator and Adventure Cyclist columnist Willie Weir will m-c the event and provide from his repertoire of stories gleaned from his world bicycle tours over the last three decades.
”This is a great chance for folks to show their support for the advocacy group, all while enjoying a great lasagne dinner and Willie Weir’s entertaining stories,” said NSBA Vice President Gordon Black. “The group has ambitions to spread the word on the need for safer roads and more trails for bike riders of all abilities. Money raised as well the increased visibility of the dinner will help achieve that.”:
Tickets are currently on sale for $60 each - the price includes two drinks tickets. Beer from Diamond Knot and Fremont breweries and Eleven Winery will be served.
